Refunds & Returns Policy

Returning or Exchanging Products Purchased Online:

We offer a refund, product exchange or credit, should you not be happy with your online purchases from GAP Essentials.

  • Please read the document to see if you qualify for a refund, exchange or credit on your purchased item/s
  • If you would like to request a refund, please get in touch with us prior to sending/shipping products to us
Confirmation, Risk and Ownership

Your satisfaction is our priority. Therefore, you can request a refund, exchange or reshipment for ordered products if:

  • you do not receive them within the guaranteed time (10-45 days not including 2-5 day processing)
  • you receive the wrong item based on your order details

We do not issue refunds and/or exchanges:

  • if your order does not arrive due to factors within your control (e.g. providing the wrong shipping address)
  • if your order does not arrive due to exceptional circumstances outside our control (e.g. not cleared by customs, delayed by a natural disaster).
  • for hygienic reasons (Thus products that can be classified under this category unfortunately cannot be refunded. We shall endeavour to replace/exchange any faulty product should we find the circumstances and reason/s warrants said replacement/exchange.)
*Local/National:

You can submit a request for a refund/exchange within 5 days after the goods have arrived.

*International: 

You can submit a request for a refund/exchange within 5 days after the goods have arrived, but not after the guaranteed period for delivery of  (45 days) has expired.

Please read and follow the conditions/procedures below:
  • Email us at returns@gapessentials.co.za to notify us that you’d like to exchange/return something.
  • You must return the item within 7 days from receiving a return/exchange approval notification from us. If returning via courier, we recommend tracking your item so there’s no risk of it going missing.
  • Return your item with all tags attached. Include your receipt and your contact details too.
  • The returned item must be unused & in perfect, new condition. (Return it in its original packaging or suitable replacement in case of generic packaging).
  • If a refund is issued, you will be refunded via your original payment method once your return has been confirmed.
  • Due to hygiene reasons certain items cannot be returned and/or refunded.
  • Freight and courier fees are not refundable and returned items are at the expense of the customer.
  • The only other purchases NOT eligible for return are sale items.
  • The Company is not obliged to refund your purchase based on change of mind if you’ve had the opportunity to select and purchase. We may offer an exchange.
  • If you encounter a faulty product (we don’t find this often) we will do everything possible to arrange a repair, replacement or refund. Simply contact us and we will review your query.
